Nice to meet you!

I am a specialist in the history of modern art and visual culture in central Europe. My research focuses on identity politics in modern art and photography, intersections between high and popular art, modern culture beyond the metropolis and socially engaged art.
I am currently Research Fellow at the Department of Art History at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic. My work here is part of a collaborative grant project entitled “Continuity / Rupture: Art and Architecture in Central Europe, 1918-1939 (CRAACE)”, supported by the European Research Council. As a part of this project, my research focuses on modernism beyond metropolitan centres in interwar central Europe.
